Med Glint we wanted to create a fabric that lets every fiber speak. Every decision, from raw materials to paint and bonding, is made with care and intention. The result is a fabric where technology and design meet, and where the natural shine of Gotland wool plays the main role.
Gotland wool is a treasure among Swedish wool fibers. It is glossy, silky and strong, with a character reminiscent of mohair but with a coarser texture. To balance and give the fabric pliability, we have mixed in cross wool, which is a soft, versatile wool that complements the unique expression of Gotland wool.
The weave is created in a classic cypress binding, chosen for its beautiful diagonal structure, pliability and wear resistance.
The colour scheme is timeless — a subtle alternation between black and blue. From a distance, the fabric is perceived as uniform, but up close the details emerge in a play of shades that capture the light and give life to the surface.
Glint is equally well suited to clothing as to interior textiles in the home.
The fabrics are woven in collaboration with Väveriet in Bollnäs. Gunilla and Lars-Åke, who run the weaving mill, work with a genuine passion for textile craftsmanship and an impressive meticulousness in every detail. They also share our approach: “There can be no problem, can it?” — then, with will and persistence, work towards the best solution.
